Our public health care system is struggling
As we face a possible fifth wave of the pandemic, nurses and health care workers are burnt out and struggling. Right now, they are working through long hours, understaffed and with a wave of new infections – particularly amongst those who have refused to get vaccinated.
The pandemic has placed an unimaginable strain on our public health care system. Thousands of health care workers have left the workforce, after almost two years of extreme sacrifice. We need to ensure that nurses are well supported, so they can keep doing their lifesaving work.
